Reddit, if you were forced to live a sustainable life, could you do it?

So what if you had to become entirely independent of modern food sources and other sources of amenity, would you be able to cope? Think natural disaster type scenario that has killed off most humans.

I think my life would change drastically, first, I probably wouldn't eat meat anymore unless I lived with others who could stomach it. I am a computer person, so naturally this would hinder my entertainment/work/outlet/part of my socail life/etc.
