I have been fielding questions about polygamy and incest when opponents talk about gay marriage. It's difficult to say, "we're not talking about that," because they think I'm dodging. So far, I have said that as a matter of policy, we as a culture don't want to encourage inbreeding.

But... I admit that, if what we're going with is "allow two adults to marry," that DOES cover incest and polygamy!

I am absolutely dead fucking serious, and would like to hear how to frame the issue of gay marriage if you can't say "any 2 adults" without weakening the argument that gays are just people and they want to fuck and they want to marry and who gives a fuck.
