What did you learn in Elementary school that turned out to be false/ a lie when you reached adulthood?

A teacher once threatened to call the police on me when I accidentally hit the kid behind me when passing him a book. I actually thought she could do that and I would get arrested, and I remember crying my eyes out in class and begging her. Teachers in elementary school have no chill.
