Do you think one language will one day be the only language spoken in the world?

Given today's trends in transportation and the internet, do you think that one day there will be just one language spoken on earth? If so which one do you think?

All things assumed to go without a mega-disaster or something like that, I think English is the primary contender. The younger population are generally more tech savvy, so I think that with time, being tech savvy will be the norm and more people will be using the web. I am not saying it will come any time soon, I simply believe that is where were headed as a consequence of technological advancement in communication.
