So I sold a computer, brand new from Dell, which was a replacement for another computer. My description of being new in the box was accurate. I took pictures, and even took a video of the computer starting up for a few minutes to make sure it was okay.
Now, less than a week later, the seller says the DVD drive pops open and doesn't shut. As it was a replacement from Dell, it doesn't have a warranty, and he wants to return it. He also says he no longer has the Dell box I sent with it.
Reddit, I am really freaked out. I feel like I'm being scammed... but I do have the pictures and the video. I had a really shitty feeling that stuff like this happens, and I want to be as careful and honest as possible.
My description was not deceptive; it was 100% accurate, and I answered all questions asked of me.
Please, if you have any advice, now would be a good time for me to hear it. I don't have this kind of money to give up.
Thanks

EDIT: I responded to him, and but have escalate this to a "case." The video runs for a few minutes, and at no point does the CD-ROM drive open.
EDIT2: I did have USPS insurance, and the person I spoke with on eBay was helpful. I am waiting for a call back, and in the meantime the buyer has posted message and videos which contradict his claim, so I am hopeful.
EDIT3: THEY DECIDED IN MY FAVOR!!!!! The people I spoke with at eBay were VERY helpful and straightforward with me. I am very relieved by this. I recommend, if you sell something, TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO, as that was what helped me. And be very accurate in your description, as I was.
PHEW!!!
