First post here, please be kind.
My father is a United Church of Christ minister, and I was raised under the assumption that I would attend church at least once a week until I got confirmed. Once I did, I considered myself athiest, and further along in high school, settled on agnostic. A botched previous relationship got me into the Roman Catholic church (long story) but I haven't attended mass for months and generally don't agree with the church on most things.
Here's my current stance: I believe in a universal consciousness. I believe in morality, truth, selflessness, and generally most things this Jesus guy tried to tell people about. I do not believe that Jesus was the son of God, if there even is such a thing, but I do believe that he was an important figure of his time. I believe that the stories in the Bible are largely gathered up tales from all over that part of the world that got passed down and misinterpreted and stolen to be put in one book.
What am I? (I will add things to this if I've left any gaping holes that need to be filled, per your request.)
