Reddit, do your cuts get infected? I mean, what happens? Is it usually a problem?
Post Body

The reason I ask is this article about bandages which indicate whether a cut is infected:

Now personally whenever I get a cut I rarely wear a bandage, I just let it alone and it goes away by itself. If its a bit bloody I'll probably wash it under the tap briefly but not always. I'd only ever apply a plaster/band-aid if it was bleeding a lot or if it was in an awkward place. I never ever attempt to disinfect the wound with alcohol or whatever. I have never had an infected cut, which is why I wondered... have I just been really lucky or what? Is it serious to get an infected cut? What happens? Do people often get infected cuts?
