What makes a piece of writing "good"?
Post Body

I've been tasked with writing a program that scores a piece of writing based on overall quality. So my question to you all is: what makes a piece of writing good?

Specifically, I'm asking for qualities (measurable metrics) that one might subconsciously use when, say, grading a paper. Some examples: presentation, grammar, spelling, cohesiveness, and content.

Can we get more specific? I'd love to hear your ideas, whether or not they're practically implementable. Thanks so much, reddit!
