My wife and I are expecting a baby in two and a half months. My wife has been working with midwives, and when a standard test came back showing high blood sugar, was sent to do a specialized diabetes test.
She just called me to let me know the results. She's got gestational diabetes, which not only means a change in diet and exercise, it also means a chance of developing full-bore diabetes later on, both for her and for our daughter. She's upset and anxious. What can I do to help, or make her smile?
