I mean, is the cost of getting the vehicle over here less than the money you'd lose if you sold your car on the islands and then bought another used one once you move to the mainland?

Or are you just registering your car that you bought in the continental US to a Hawai'ian address, possibly a timeshare, because it's much cheaper?
