Why does a power cable sometimes not work unless it is bent/crimped at a certain angle and a certain point on the cable?
Post Body

Also.. Is something like this repairable? For example, I have this solid oscillating fan with a power cable that's directly connected to the wiring inside the fan (so I can't replace it), and there is a certain point on the cable that I have to bend in order for electricity to accordingly reach the fan.
