It's a habit of thinking, and the more you catch yourself thinking about, the more chances you have to change that thinking. Every time you catch yourself having a comparative thought, remind yourself that
It's just a thought.
You're a work in progress.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
And then think about all the things you like about yourself and what you're working on to improve. Nothing else matters.
34 M and I might finally have a good job soon. I'm no closer to owning a house than I was when I graduated college. Basically what I'm saying is that it's the stupidest thing in the world to compare your progress and your journey to someone else's. Be proud of your accomplishments and aspire to be a better version of yourself, because nobody is better at being anything other than themselves.
I can't do it at long range because my eyesight is fucked up. You gotta be real close for me to be able to see you're even looking at me.
This thread has taught me that EVERYBODY is insecure. Best thing we can do is reassure our fellow humans and lift them up :) This will make us feel better and less insecure. Be proud of who you are and just be good to one another.
Ok but /u/gaythougstsatnight, this is just a hunch so hear me out, maybe you really just like women? Or at least shorter guys in touch with their feminine side?

Yep. Random adults still call me "buddy" when talking with me. Like, dude, I'm OLDER than you. I'm gonna be 35 next month.
