I make way too many posts about this ugh.
Story: I wrestled with OCD/depression for awhile before being put on Prozac, which gradually helped me over time--but also gradually took away my ability to enjoy orgasms, as well as a little bit of ED thrown in for good measure. I decided to eventually go off of Prozac for a few months and I actually felt fine, but my sexual function wasn't returning. I decided to back on Prozac which helped my mood a little, but it blunted my emotions and also decided to take my libido this time as well.
I got rid of my old psychiatrist and started talking to my primary doctor. He lowered my Prozac from 80 to 40mg, and added Wellbutrin--which I just advanced to 300. Wellbutrin is helping with the emotional blunting and giving me more energy, and it's making a noble effort to restore my orgasms. They're a little better but not by much, and the Prozac is fighting hard to keep my libido down. I'm thinking about switching Prozac out for another anti-anxiety med, but what? From my research, most SSRI's cause sexual dysfunction. I've had thoughts about trying Buspar but I don't know how effective that would be. And my mood might get worse if I go off of Prozac.
Is there anything that can be done?
