Is it unlikely or very likely that 4 years of methylphenidate as prescribed will cause withdrawal symptoms?
Post Body

2.5 years on Concerta and its generics, 1.5 on Jornay PM. Just lost my insurance and cannot afford to pay out of pocket for my psych appointments, certainly not my medication. I have 25 meds left and do not expect to suddenly acquire health insurance or significant wealth anytime soon.

I emailed the office lady who usually books my appointments and asked if she can have the Dr call me to consult about withdrawal symptoms and what to expect. She said he doesn’t make calls outside of appointments. She also said if Jornay is stopped, I shouldn’t experience any withdrawal symptoms.

Honestly I’m kind of angry that my (former) doctor will not talk to me one last time to help me understand what I might experience

My one-second Google search says entirely otherwise.

I have always taken my meds as prescribed expect for one time when I accidentally double dosed after forgetting I took my med earlier than usual, an honest mistake.

Anything you have to offer is very appreciated.
