Can I trust this doctor? Addiction specialist
Post Body

Long story short I’ve been taking benzos (kpin) that are prescribed to me as well as someone’s Xanax prescription. For two years now. I’ve tried to get off on my own. Failed. It’s so hard.

So I reached out to my local addiction specialist DR. At our consultation, I explained everything honestly and even got into family background, traumas, etc. At my next appointment he wants me to bring everything to him, including the Xanax (that isn’t prescribed). Is this an odd request? I’m nervous as heck. I have a toddler. I don’t want to go to jail, I don’t want to be reported to CPS. I just want to be off benzodiazepines. Please share any advice or knowledge you have. I’m seriously panicking wondering if he has pure intentions or if I’m being set up.
