I was prescribed 10 mg flouxetine for generalized anxiety. Over the past 6 months, I've had some issues with sleep maintenance insomnia. I'd like to see if I will benefit from the flouxetine but I'm pretty scared it will exacerbate my sleep issues.
I was curious if there's any reason I can't open the capsule and take half of the contents? I was looking to start with just once a week and see how I get on as I understand flouxetine has a pretty long half life. I'd like to take this as slow as possible and they don't make 5 mg capsules of course. Just want to make sure I won't be negatively impacted from consuming the contents of the capsule on their own.
