Abilify added to boost Trentellix for depression?

I've been taking Trentellix for about eight months and it no longer seems to be working at 20 mg. My doctor is suggesting adding Abilify to "boost" the effectiveness of the Trentellix. Google shows me that Abilify is used to treat schizophrenia. I'm not schizophrenic. Is this a bad idea?
