My psychiatrist and psychologist disagree in my diagnosis (and treatment). How do I proceed?
Post Body

I've been seeing them both for the same amount of time (almost a year). Psych once a month, psychologist once a week. I have GAD, had depression when I was young as well as some other diagnoses.

After just one visit my psychiatrist told me I also have depression and prescribed both Wellbutrin and Effexor. Tbh I got scared and told her I didn't think it was a good idea. She then prescribed benzos for sleep.

My psychologist thinks I have OCD on top of my GAD, and weve been working on my compulsions (all mental) and obsessions.

They both know the other's opinion but still think the other is wrong. My psych now wants me to take prozac while my psychologist thinks I don't need meds because I've been making progress without them. I don't know what to do or who to believe? Should I get a second opinion?
