Greetings all.
I have been on many medications for sleep, from quetiapine to olanzapine, zopiclone, etc. but I seem to be almost immune to any kind of sedative. Even when I had surgery, I woke up "early" from the anesthesia(The surgery was complete, but it was very obvious from their faces they had not expected me to wake up yet) and I was fully alert once I had woken up. Kinda sucked though because I immediately began vomiting uncontrollably and considering it was abdominal surgery that was very painful.
Anyway, what could the explanation for this be? Meds in general always have a lesser effect on me than most people, but when it comes to sedatives of almost all kinds they do quite literally nothing at all, even at higher doses.
I'm not looking for a solution to a problem or anything, my sleep problems resolve on their own they just come and go, but I was wondering what my complete lack of sensitivity to sedatives could be.
