"healthy" alternatives for self-harm needed

A brief preface: I am currently seeing a psychiatrist and therapist. I am not a danger to my own life/wellbeing nor the lives of others. I am compliment with my medication and the behavioral changes recommended by my mental health professionals. My next appointment is Wednesday, 12:00 PM CDT June 5th, 2024.

I need something that will not leave scars or prolonged wounds. I've utilize several ideas provided by professionals, but nothing has helped with the on and off "dissociation" I've been dealing with. I lost a few hours yesterday while being responsible for someone's cats. One of them had vomited and I was so embarrassed that I wasn't there to help them and clean up the mess immediately. The following suggestions have been provided and haven't helped for months:

  1. TIPP
  2. Rubber Band on the wrist
  3. Cold Showers
  4. Push pins in the soles of my shoes
  5. Salt and ice in hand

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ❤
