Hi, Iāve been on this dose for a few days, beforehand I was on 10 mg for about three months. I want to taper off it but Iām having trouble deciding how to go about it.
One reason is that before starting citalopram I was already on a different SSRI and I directly switched to Citalopram. I canāt remember the name of the last ssri now. Before that I was on a different ssri and before that a different one ā¦ I havenāt tapered off for a few years now, I keep switching. I have been on almost every ssri and a couple of snriās
Does that mean if I start the process of tapering off Citalopram, Iām actually tapering off the other ssriās too?
If yes, it makes the correct tapering method more difficult and will likely need to be a slower method but I donāt know.
I know of the hyperbolic taper method but there are different speeds of going about it and I donāt know how to decide.
My GP doesnāt know about hyperbolic tapering so I canāt ask them. How am I supposed to decide exactly how to go about this in my case. Iām not asking for general tips about tapering, I need some more precise instruction about how I should do it and how long it should take, if thatās doable. Iām very stressed.
