Hi, I’ve been on this dose for a few days, beforehand I was on 10 mg for about three months. I want to taper off it but I’m having trouble deciding how to go about it.

One reason is that before starting citalopram I was already on a different SSRI and I directly switched to Citalopram. I can’t remember the name of the last ssri now. Before that I was on a different ssri and before that a different one … I haven’t tapered off for a few years now, I keep switching. I have been on almost every ssri and a couple of snri’s

Does that mean if I start the process of tapering off Citalopram, I’m actually tapering off the other ssri’s too?

If yes, it makes the correct tapering method more difficult and will likely need to be a slower method but I don’t know.

I know of the hyperbolic taper method but there are different speeds of going about it and I don’t know how to decide.

My GP doesn’t know about hyperbolic tapering so I can’t ask them. How am I supposed to decide exactly how to go about this in my case. I’m not asking for general tips about tapering, I need some more precise instruction about how I should do it and how long it should take, if that’s doable. I’m very stressed.
