Asking for my bf. He was assaulted at 19 and they stomped on the side of his head. He was rendered unconscious, taken to hospital and doesnโt remember several days after that (he was asleep awhile I think). They told him he had spinal fluid leaking from ears. It took him awhile to recover. He had memory difficulties and other problems too I think, he trained himself using flash cards.
Today he is 37 years old and presents as an intelligent, intellectual adult. Can think abstractly. He also has childhood adhd (which remains quite evident today), and ptsd from childhood sexual assault. What kind of long term effects would a person expect to contribute to a TBI such as this?
