Hello,
I have been on some sort of psychiatric medicine now for over 20 years. The last few years my short-term memory has been terrible: it's affecting my work, my relationships and all around quality of life. I'm tired of being on all these medications and want to start reducing. I am being managed by the psyhicatry department at the VA (90% disabled for mental health).
Can this cocktail that I am taking impact my memory? My suspicion is yes, but I would like other opinions. If I am sucessfully tapered off some of these meds, is there a chance my memory issues could improve? Though I am grateful to the VA for my health care, I feel that they sometimes over prescribe medications based on quarterly 30 minute consults. During specific times in my life, this large volume of medications proved invaluable, however, now that I feel that I have been stable for a while I would like to potentially reduce. These meds are also affecting my sex life and performance despite TRT and ED drugs (as needed). I am still at times unable to stay erect and perform.
Thank you for you help!
