How to learn the intangible aspects

Post Body
I‘ve been programming for many years, and sure, im slowly growing, but at the end of a project i still think:
- i should have researched that tech more before committing to it
- i made some bad assumptions
- i over/underestimated this aspect
- there was a product that would have helped, that i missed
- that junior would have needed closer supervision
- i should created a DSL earlier
- i used Oracle when sqlite would have been fine
- i should have understood the political situation at the customer‘s side
Is there any way to grow in these intangible areas without just throwing two more decades at it?
