Post Body

Currently it's summer break, and then I'll be in final year of BS computer science

A little context: I've done 1 year of job as a full stack developer in last year (it was on campus for my own uni), it was contract based and now over, I've average cgpa and somewhat of a beginner to intermediate level expertise in MEAN stack (mysql)

I'm confused what would be the best next move

Internship: I'd start from zero, I'd get paid less

Full time job in market: I may not get one, as they're offered to fresh grads, even if do the interview preparation and get one, I'd have to leave it when summer break is over

Freelancing: considering the saturation and competition and high connection fees on Upwork seems hard, what if I put in all the effort and it doesn't work and time and money is wasted

Fresh grad hiring: fresh grad hiring starts in 8th semester 6 months from now, So for next 6 month I should prepare for that and do DSA, if I would do that I'd choose java and then learn springboot and apply for backend or full stack java developer roles during hiring

GSOC: open source contribution and preparing for gsoc 2025

What would you do if you were at my spot, feel free to ask for additional context
