Alternatives to go?

Im looking for a language that uses the least threads possible like nodejs or go does, but with a more familiar syntax. Ive worked for years with java, c# and nodejs. but the solution im needing right now has to use the least threads as possible, fellow game host owners recommended to not use anything like c# or java as they use much threads. Any recommendations? Thanks
