Are Syllabi IP?

I'm interested in putting together a crowdsourced syllabus sharing site as a side project for my school first but also potentially to be expanded and am curious if sharing syllabus would be considered any sort of copyright infringement, IP violation, etc. or if students are free to share syllabi outside of class. Thank you!
