Should I ask my professor if I should pay the money back that he paid on my behalf which is covered by my scholarship?
Post Body

Hi! Please help! I have a meeting in an hour and I am not sure if this is appropriate. For a research internship, my host university requires the students to pay 200 dollars. This internship is funded by an external agency that covers the 200 dollars in addition to stipend. However, my professor already paid 200 dollars on my behalf without letting me know and I guess he isnt aware of that the registration fee is also covered by my scholarship, or may be he did it out of kindness. Would it be appropriate to bring this up? I want to return him the 200 dollars but I don't want it to sound inappropriate or weird.
