One of my professors has tested positive for the coronavirus and has been hospitalized. The final exam for the same course is scheduled for next week (a different professor is conducting it now, all that has been taken care of).
Would it be appropriate to write to my professor (who has been hospitalized) praying for his speedy recovery? He has been a great teacher over the entire semester and has been very helpful in solving doubts, etc. We have also had a couple of course-related interactions over email in the past. Hence, I feel like conveying my thoughts and prayers.
Since the final exam is near and the professor shall decide grades shortly after, I do not want my message to be misinterpreted in any way, if that makes sense?
If it is appropriate to write to my professor (I do not see why it isn't, these are such difficult times for everyone), what exactly should I write? Would love to know your thoughts.
Thank you!
