Can we surf gravitational waves?
Post Body

Might sound silly, but I am curious if anyone else has thought about it. Since we can detect gravitational waves, would it be possible to maybe interact with gravitational waves in a way that produces a force on an object to propel it through a vacuum, like space?

From what I've read here and there, I suspect that gravitational waves hold some energy, inertia or something that is allowing them to go for the great distances they cover. So if we're able to slightly interact with it, and use it as a means to provide some thrust, we could use that to travel through space without the need of propellent, possibly.

However I suspect this understanding is extremely flawed, but if anyone has anything to add to this I'd be more than happy to hear it!
