I am a complete amateur when it comes to physics. So consider this my ignorance.
If we have a black hole that weighs 2.5E18 suns, its radius would be 7.9E5 ly. Next imagine a galaxy of the same size. If it is roughly as dense as the milky way, it would have about the same mass - 2.5E18.
How would we distinguish between the two? Would that galaxy be a bh from the outside, but full of stars and people from the inside?
Likely my numbers are wrong. But given that BH radius is proportional to mass, one can find a blackhole that is less dense compared to a galaxy. What do I not know?
