Can a fujifilm X-A10 be used as a webcam?

Asking for a friend, she has an x-a10 and bought a capture card and hmdi cable connecting to the camera. It doesnt seem to work as a webcam. the option for the capture card is available in the computer but there's no video from the camera. Does anybody have this camera model and can it be used as a webcam? I have a canon 1500d and it works flawlessly with the EOS webcam utility software as a webcam, but fujifilm cameras seem to have a hard time being used as one. thanks in advance.
