I've been looking for a desktop tripod mount for a large tablet (S10 Ultra). One of the key problems I was having was finding a cradle for the tablet while it's in it's case (needed fingers at least .8 inches long).
I finally found one on Amazon (haven't purchased it yet). Looks like it has a 1" (25mm) ball on the end of it. It also looks like the ball is optional:

But I have no idea what other parts I'd need to set this up on a tripod. What I'm trying to do is to have the tablet floating over my laptop (raised on a stand maybe 8 inches off the table top). Similar positioning to this:
