I really like taking pictures of landscapes/scenery when I travel. I've only ever taken pictures with my phone (currently have a Pixel 6) but I sometimes feel limited in what my phone camera can capture like, for example, taking pictures of the sky/sunrises/sunsets. I've been considering getting a budget DSLR camera and some kind of general purpose lens with a slight preference for landscapes (I need to do ton more research). There's lots of learning I need to do but the end goal would be to take this camera with me when I travel and be able to take better and more unique pictures.
I do wonder, how do cheap DSLR cameras compare to phone camera's nowadays? Is the difference worth the investment? Or if I just learn more about photography can I get the same quality pictures with my phone that I could with a cheap DSLR?
