To Sell or Not Sell Redundant Lenses?

Post Body

Howdy all. I added two nice RF lenses to my kit recently, and want to sell off some now-redundant glass to recover some costs. Wondering if others think there's a reason to keep some of these lenses that maybe I'm not thinking of? Did anyone sell off a lens they thought they didn't need or want, only to want it back?

For context, I've done maybe 10 professional shoots (wedding, restaurant, portraits) but consider myself more an enthusiastic hobbyist than a pro. Mostly travel photos and street photography, occasional portraits, and recently got into macro.

Recent got the 24-70mm f/2.8 and the 100mm f/2.8 macro (1.4x zoom)

These are all Canon RF lenses, this is what I'm thinking right now..

  • 35mm f/1.8 (sell, redundant) - it's got some macro capabilities, but I bought the 100mm for macro so that angle is covered. Otherwise the 24-70 does all this and more.)
  • 50mm f/1.8 (keep, redundant) - I used this lens more than any other by far, up until I bought the 24-70mm. I figure I keep this one because of its fast and sharp images, it's super small if I don't want a lug the bigger boy around, and resale would only get me $100 bucks.
  • 24-70mm f/2.8 L - new, awesome lens.
  • 85mm f/2 (sell? keep?) - Takes great portrait shots and has macro capabilities (but the macro on the 100mm is better). I've used this for a few portrait sessions but that's about it, I prefer the 50mm). Fairly bulky lens, but extends my my focal length beyond the 24-70)
  • 100mm f/2.8 macro L (1.4x magnifying) - new, bought for the macro and apparently it's a great portrait lens as well though I haven't shot any photos with it yet and I don't do a ton of portraits. Could replace the 85?).
  • 24-240mm f/4.5-6.3 (keep) - (great range, keeping)
  • 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 (possibly sell? I never use it and I don't like how ultra-wide angle photos look anyway. Bought it a year ago when I was getting into restaurant/commercial shoots, used it maybe 4 times in a year or so. I don't even like to use it when taking nature shots. Seems like an obvious sell other than being so wide compared to the rest.)

So after writing this out I guess I'm open to selling the 15-30mm, the 35mm and maybe the 85mm? That's roughly $1000 back to pay for the 100mm I just got.. Thoughts?
