Beginner here trying to understand perspective distortion
I'm given to understand shorter focal length = increased perspective distortion / increased 'depth' / objects appear further away from each other
Longer focal length = Less depth and compression of depth.
If this is true, why? Do longer focal lengths refract less angles of light (the ones that show depth)? Is this because of less field of view or what exactly is happening to make it 'miss out' on those angles of light refracted that would normally contribute to depth in shorter focal length?
