Is an ND filter enough to shoot eclipse?

Post Body

I’m only in the zone for a partial solar eclipse, like 90-95% coverage and wanted to shoot it. I have an old camera I might shoot it with that I don’t really care if I screw up the sensor if I get it wrong. I have an ND filter for it if that’s enough but no clue how many stops it blocks? I’ll be shooting at probably 80mm and will try a composite wide shot of it. Also can stuff like this damage the lenses, or just the sensors alone? It is a mirror DSLR if that changes how much light is on the sensor?
