I want to have a better relationship with my dad but I’m scared he wants nothing to do with me

Post Body

For context, I believe my dad is a good guy. I remember him being a pretty solid man growing up, and he’s paying for my college as a student, so I want to at least try and build a better relationship with him as he reaches retirement age.

It’s difficult because we are almost the exact same: introverted, rarely speak, not many friends.

Any dads out there with advice on how they would like to spend more time with their children? Do they even want to? Or would they rather retire in peace?

tldr; how do I get closer with my dad?
