If your child delivers for Doordash but has to stay home for the rest of the week due to COVID, would you be willing to send them the money they'd otherwise regularly earn for their income? (Wanted to know what you thought first before asking Mom.)
Post Body

Your child is an adult in their own apartment and makes somewhat of a decent income delivering for Doordash, but just got diagnosed with COVID on Friday. He works Thursdays-Mondays. He is told to go back to work on Monday after taking blister cards of Paxlovid.

He makes $550-$700/week normally. He only earned $91 on Monday, so that's all he is getting from Doordash next Payday. Monday starts the new pay period, Sunday ends it. (Either Monday nights or Tuesday mornings are when his last pay period's deposit arrives.)

He says since he can't make an income while sick with COVID, he wants you to send $500 to him to compensate for his inability to work that week.

Mothers, how would you react?

And you too, fathers? (My father is mostly out of the picture, but I'd still like to know how you'd react.)

Thanks in advance.
