How is dealing with chronic pain as you get older?

Hi, I'm 27 and have been dealing with multiple chronic illnesses and pain since I was 8. I have difficulty looking forward to getting old and dealing with more pain so am looking to see if any older people have a different perspective on chronic pain. Thanks!
