Security Monitoring

Hi all! I just transitioned to our Data Security team, and I am currently trying to figure out what monitoring. We have Splunk so far, but what else do you guys use or do to monitor your network/users? Currently I am scanning our outside addresses via Rapid 7 Nexpose, and watching Bluecoat logs via splunk, along with standard Windows log monitoring. Just looking for more information/advice. Thanks in advance!
