Vulnerability Scanning

Post Body
I am currently a student in university looking to do some vulnerability scanning as a part of my capstone project.
I was looking into using Shodan, Censys, and Burp Suite to do these types of scans. While I know this is completely ethical, I need to know if it is completely legal of course...
I am looking to maybe scan my university's network to make the project more exciting.
Note: I'm in Ontario Canada
