Unfortunately nothing in the way of data to post, just a scenario that's been bugging me.
I was auditing a server when I noticed a lot of traffic hitting a fairly "low traffic" WP/EE1 site. Someone was spamming the contact field with arbitrary quotes of text from a passage (sequentially), I'm assuming as many characters as they could at a time?
I wish I had more information to give, but are there any exploit/attack surfaces where someone might use something seemingly innert, like a random body of text against a contact form? The log data didn't show anything ressembling attempted escape sequences, and it wasn't the kind of site to get a DoS...
Iirc, they were fairly concurrent, unless login attempted weren't being logged?? But I doubt that. Is it common in any certain attacks to use something like a hardcopy book-worth of text? Other data in between seemed to be genuine user data
