Summary: 25 year old former silicon chip engineer, budding fashion designer (sketch to garment construction), and current broke gig worker unsure about career strategy and desperately seeking skilled career coaching as financial insecurity looms.
Hi y’all, I’ve been in nyc for over a year and haven’t made the progress i want to see in the field of fashion/fashion engineering. I struggle massively with impostor syndrome even though i have a competitive stem degree and great seamstress knowledge, i find myself struggle with option paralysis, career planning, and staying financially afloat after quitting an engineering job (and no i don’t want to go back into tech).
I’m looking for a very talented and skilled career coach or coaching program that is very in tune with TODAY’s job market. I need coaches who understand the difference between mechanical engineering vs software engineering jobs in nyc. Or the difference between fashion tech UX jobs or fashion tech garment construction jobs. (basically coaches who don’t think that all tech jobs or all fashion jobs are the same) My current support network doesn’t understand the details of the job market in 2022 and i’m really looking for coaches who are on the heartbeat of today’s market.
Have you any experience or recommendations for career coaches? Have they been helpful? My price point is $-$$ for what it’s worth.
