I've been tasked with sending birthday gifts to our employees each month, and I can't stomach the corporate recommendation for Edible Arrangements.
I've looked through dozens of threads on this sub for gift ideas, but most of the suggestions are either too expensive (Zabars baskets, Chelsea Market Baskets), too difficult to gather/assemble as a gift (Transit museum, MoMa) or supporting a company that probably doesn't need the business right now (Milk Bar, Levain, Magnolia).
Any recommendations for local companies that do inexpensive ($40), festive gifts that might be appreciated? Doesn't have to be click-and-go convenience, I'd be happy to get in touch with the staff to arrange gifts and local deliveries, I'm just at a loss for ideas. Any favorites or suggestions?
