Landlords want us to pay to remove air conditioning units because it was not properly installed. Is this fair?
Post Body

The landlord wants us to pay over $100 for each AC unit that has been installed in our apartment. According to them the units were not properly installed by NYC standards and need the proper equipment. The AC's were installed in 2003. We received them with no charge and we did not install it ourselves. I really feel like our landlords are scamming us! We are not sure whether to actually pay for proper installment because we don't want to get sued or anything.
