As we say, "basically the title". I'm a long term consultant/freelancer, and just ended a two year contract rather abruptly as the group I worked with had a "reorg" (ie. trouble for everyone).

I'm in Manhattan, looking for remote work since I'm a primary care giver for a family member. My background is in animation, video editing, management and production. I have been to motion graphic meetups, which are nice but don't yield much. I know about indeed,dribble, behance, etc.

Have experience with agencies like Creative Circle, 24seven, etc

I'm specifically curious if anyone can help point me in the direction of NYC sites, communities, or even subreddits and discord groups I've somehow not found, that can help me rejoin the community and find new work. Not looking for a magical pass, I know the industry is in a crazy place, but I'm the primary caregiver for an elderly parent, have my own challenges, and need all the help or support I can find.
