Hello! On Thursday 1/30 there was a road crew installing a sensor. The work was done in less than two hours. The hole was very shallow, about 2’x3’. I didn’t get a good look at the submerged sensor, but it was around the size of a medium pizza box. The truck had a sign reading “THIS TRUCK IS RUNNING TO POWER TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AS PER NYC-DOT SPEC. STIPO38” stipulation 38 reads as follows: Warning signs and traffic safety devices shall be provided, installed, maintained and removed by the Permitee in accordance with the "New York State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices." Im looking for clarification of the purpose of the sensor and if this is linked to the congestion pricing scheme?
