I can’t believe I’m posting this, but my 29 year old brother tragically and unexpectedly passed away a month ago, while my sister-in-law is 7 months pregnant with their first child. Things are not good and I’m trying to think of all the ways I can be there for her. In addition to practical support, I was brainstorming on sentimental things too.
I know even before my brother passed she was really wanting our home videos to see him as a baby to get excited for her baby boy. I digitized them all a few years ago and have DVDs. Sadly the usb I also ordered got corrupted.
I have barely any energy these days to do stuff like this so hoping reddit can help. If anyone has any recommendations for affordable places to copy DVDs (bonus if they can also make a usb, bonus if in Williamsburg or anywhere in Manhattan from the 60’s down) that would be great.
I’m also brainstorming on making some sort of video tribute to him with content from the home videos as well as current stuff from all our phones. I used to be super tech savvy and great at editing videos in H.S, but I’m no longer up with the tech, nor does my grief allow me to have that kind of energy. So if anyone also has any recs for an affordable place/person I could pay to create this edited video (10-20 min) that would be great.
