Wall Street / South Brooklyn ferry logistics question with group
Post Body

Hi everyone!

I am traveling to NYC with extended family for a cruise at the end of March. We have people of all ages traveling from infants to seniors 80-90 years old. We are a group of about 15 people total. We should all have about 1 piece of luggage and there will be at least one wheelchair and one or two car seats and strollers.

Our plan will be to take the Subway from JFK -> Wall Street and stay at a hotel in the area the night before the cruise. In the morning, we plan to take the South Brooklyn Ferry from Pier 11 / Wall St to Red Hook where the South Brooklyn Cruise terminal is located.

My question is how feasible is this plan to take the Ferry in the morning the cruise is supposed to disembark? We would be traveling on a Sunday and would probably need to be at the port around 10-11am. I am also worried about the logistics of traveling with our baggage as well as young children and elderly with mobility issues. Is this plan feasible with these concerns in mind?

Thank you!
